HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway (SCR) will run 12 summer specials between Secunderabad and Kakinada to handle the rush of passengers between May 26 and June 10. According to a press release, Train No. 701 Secunderabad - Kakinada special will leave on May 26, 28, June 2, 4, 9 and 11 at 10.30 p.m. and reach its destination at 8.50 a.m. the next day. In the opposite direction, Train No. 700 will leave Kakinada on May 25, 27, June 1, 3, 7 and 10 at 9 p.m. and reach Secunderabad at 8 a.m. the next day. Enroute, these special trains will stop at Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Anaparti and Samalkot in both directions. Meanwhile, ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ was observed at the Rail Nilayam here on Thursday. Senior Deputy General Manager, SCR, Rajiv Vishnoi admitted a ‘Sadbhavana Pledge’ to officers and staff present, remembering the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The pledge was to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and to fight disruptive forces threatening human lives and values.
