Counselling schedule for teachers

SALEM: The general counselling for transfer and promotion of teachers working in panchayat union and municipal primary and middle schools in Salem district for the academic year 2009-10 will be held at Little Flower Primary School in Four Roads here from May 23.

According to a press release issued here on the subject, the counselling for headmasters and headmistresses working in middle schools, who are seeking transfer/ promotion, will be on the forenoon of May 23.

In the afternoon, graduate teachers, Tamil teachers seeking transfer within the panchayat union can attend the counselling.

On May 24, the counselling for primary school headmasters/headmistresses would be held.

On May 26, secondary grade teachers seeking transfer within the panchayat union can attend the counselling session.

On May 27, the counselling for secondary grade and graduate teachers seeking transfer from one panchayat union to another can attend.

The counselling for teachers who have applied for transfer from one district to another will be held as per the following schedule:

May 26: Teachers seeking transfer to Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Virudunagar, Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, Pudukottai, Karur and Sivaganga districts can attend the counselling at TVS Primary School in Lakshmi Nagar, Pazhanganatham, Madurai.

May 30: Teachers seeking transfer to Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Velur, Vilupuram, Cuddalore, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts can attend the counselling at Ramakrishna Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Poonthottam in Villupuram.

May 31: Teachers seeking transfer to Coimbatore, Erode, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Salem, Tiruchi, Perambalur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Thanjavur districts can attend the counselling at Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School in Theppakulam, Tiruchi.

More information about the counselling can be obtained from the District Elementary Education Office in Salem, according to the press release.
