NEW DELHI: Vikram Rana’s three-under 69 helped him move to the sixth spot after the second round of the Malaysian amateur Open at the Kelab Golf Sarawak (Malaysia) on Friday.
Rana, who had a 75 in the first round, managed a par score at the halfway stage and is seven strokes behind leader Thanyakon Khrongpha. The Thai scored 69 in the first round and 68 in the second.
Gagan Verma was tied for fifth place after the first round. However, his second round score of 76 took his aggregate to 147 and he was lying 11th.
Rashid Khan, with a round of 72 and a total of four-over 148, was tied for the 19th spot.
Two other Indians in the fray, Abhishek Jha and Anuj Sood, missed the cut which fell at 12-over 156.
In the ladies competition, Shreya Ghai was tied ninth with a round of nine-over 81. Shruti Galande was at the 26th spot after returning a card of 14-over 86.
