Takes over

CHENNAI: Group Captain Akhilesh Kumar Verma took over the command of Mechanical Training Institute, Air Force Station (IAF) Tambaram recently. He succeeded Commander Srikant Naik.

A post-graduate from IIT Mumbai and an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Captain Akhilesh Verma has been holding staff tenure at Air HQ, New Delhi. He has been the Chief Engineering Officer at a frontline base of Indian Air Force.

Mechanical Training Institute is the training establishment of IAF and it was established in 1935 at Ambala and was later moved to Tambaram in 1947.
