Naxals gun down RMP

KHAMMAM: Naxalites of the CPI (Maoist) killed a registered medical practitioner (RMP) B. Srinivasa Rao, 60, in Rudradam near Wazeedu in the early hours on Sunday.

The police said that some 20 naxalites stormed into the village and shot him dead branding him an informant. He was on the hit list of the Maoists for quite some time.

The Maoists had him in captivity for over a fortnight some time in July last.

Further investigation is on by the police.
