Gurla SI in ACB net
HYDERABAD: Kasi Satyam, Sub-Inspector attached to Gurla police station in Vizianagram district, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on May 24 while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 4,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour.
A press release from ACB here on Monday said the SI allegedly demanded the amount for issuing copies of FIR and inquest report pertaining to the complainant’s mother, who died on May 15 in a road accident, for claiming insurance.
The officials recovered the tainted amount from the SI’s residence. He will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases-cum-Third Additional District Court, Vishakhapatnam.
