BANGALORE: Andrew Jose beat the fourth seed Nischal Nadamuni 8-2 in the best of 17 games boys’ under-14 first round of the Team Excellence-AITA Talent Series tennis tournament here, on Monday. In another couple of upsets, boys’ under-14 singles seventh seed K. Hemanth lost to unseeded Prateik, while girls’ under-14 fifth seed Tanya Singh went down narrowly to unseeded Shweta Samuel. The result (first round): Boys under-14 singles: Harsha Manjunath bt Vignesh Subramanya 8-3, Anthony Savio bt Ganapathy Narayan 8-3, 8-Aryan Goveas bt Mohit K. Reddy 8-7(5), Alok Aradhya bt M Harish 8-1, Andrw Jose bt Nischal Nadamuni 8-2, Prateik bt K Hemanth 8-6.
