MADURAI: A new showroom of Pothys was inaugurated here on Thursday. This is the fourth destination for Pothys’ chain of showrooms, after Srivilliputtur, Tirunelveli and Chennai.

The spacious showroom on West Masi Street, which was inaugurated by K.V. P. Sadayandi Moopanar, Chairman, Pothys Group, will offer traditional as well as modern dress materials, along with a range of silk products. The 90-year-old Pothys offers unique silk sari collections like Samudrika, Parampara and Vastrakala. It is the first textile retailer to get ISO 9001 certification, according to S. Ramesh of Pothys. The inauguration was preceded by an advertisement blitzkrieg in which actors dressed in Pandyan regalia heralded its arrival all over the city.
