KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan defender Habibur Rahman Mondal will captain the 20-member Bengal squad in the 63rd National football championship for the Santosh Trophy being played in four venues in Tamil Nadu. The 29-time champion will begin its campaign from the quarterfinal league stage. Bengal, clubbed with defending champion Punjab and two qualifiers, will play its first match on June 2. The squad: Goalkeepers: Abhra Mondal (East Bengal) and Subhashish Roy Chowdhury (Mahindra United). Defenders: Habibur Rahman Mondal (Mohun Bagan), Biswajit Saha (George Telegraph), Rajib Ghosh (Mohammedan), Arnab Mondal (Chirag United), Anupam Sarkar (East Bengal), Sapor Sardar (George) and Sheikh Azim (Mohammedan). Mid-fielders: Lalkamal Bhowmick (Mohun Bagan), Subha Kumar (George), Denson Devdas (Chirag), Gouranga Biswas (Air India), Snehashish Chakraborty (Chirag), Surajit Roy (Air India) and Kartik Kisku (Mohun Bagan).
