KOCHI: The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) has invited applications for its LL.M. degree courses in International Trade Law and Constitutional and Administrative Law. A release issued by the registrar said that there will be six seats each for the programmes. Two yearsIt will be spread over a period of two academic years (four semesters) and will be offered under the credit and semester system. The minimum qualification required for admission is a pass in the five-year B.A. LL. B. (Hons) degree examination of NUALS or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50 per cent of the total marks. However, those who have appeared or are appearing for the final year or semester examination will be eligible to submit the application, the release said. They should produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination before or at the time of the interview. Candidates should also submit the detailed mark lists. Admissions will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (maximum 50 marks); the performance in the entrance test to be conducted by the university (maximum 40 marks); and the performance in the interview (maximum 10 marks). Application forms can be obtained from the office of NUALS at Kaloor. It can also be downloaded from the university website, www.nuals.ac.in. A demand draft for Rs.1,000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST students) payable in Kochi should be submitted along with the application form. The last date for receiving applications is June 15.
