‘Safe Pedestrian Week’ from June 1

NEW DELHI: The Delhi police will observe “Safe Pedestrian Week” from June 1 to create awareness among pedestrians and motorists about safer road use. According to Delhi Police figures, pedestrians accounted for 51.48 per cent of the total of 2,088 road accident deaths during 2008.
