Vehicles prohibited on katcha road

PUDUCHERRY: Sub Divisional Magistrate (South), Villianur Franklin Laltinkhuma has prohibited plying or parking of vehicles including lorries and tractors on katcha road, Sankaraparani river bed, surrounding government poramboke and private lands where access was possible through the katcha road between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. on all days. Issuing an order, he said rampant illegal sand mining has been going on in the government poramboke land adjacent to Sankaraparani river in Sellipet Revenue village and from the river bed.
