EPlus counselling in Tirupati today

Experts will interact with students and their parents

TIRUPATI: Students who have appeared for the Eamcet-2009 and planning to join professional courses, can get their doubts over the new ranking system clarified at The Hindu Education Plus career counselling sessions to be held at Mahati Auditorium on Monday.

Renowned academicians who will participate in the workshop being presented by K.L. University will clear the doubts of students and their parents on the courses to be chosen and the job prospects in the respective subjects in the backdrop of the global economic downturn.

Subject experts in the fields of different engineering courses, architecture, medicine, dental sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, agriculture and veterinary sciences will throw light on the subjects and the skills as student should have to study them.

There will be an interactive session in which the experts will clarify the doubts of students and their parents. Each participant will be given a 150-page handbook on prospects of different courses.

Eamcet Ranking

The workshops will throw light on the new ranking system adopted for announcing the Eamcet ranks from this year. The Government has decided to give a 25 per cent weightage for Intermediate marks while calculating the Eamcet ranks.

The Eamcet marks are to be declared on Monday evening and the Eamcet ranks by the end of June.

Spot Registrations

Entry is by registration only and spot registrations will be allowed subject to availability of seats in the Mahati auditorium. The engineering session will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. while the Medical session will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
