Armaan finishes 15th & 16th in two races

Valencia (Spain): Armaan Ebrahim finished 15th and 16th respectively in race one and two of the first round of the Formula Two Championship here this weekend.

Armaan’s performance was creditable as mechanical problems with the car had cut short his pre-season practice sessions.

Starting 20th on the grid and struggling for grip on the corners, Armaan improved five places to 15th place in race one on Saturday.

The second event on Sunday afternoon saw the Indian driver rack up some quick laps in the middle part of the race, though he ended on 16th place.

“It was very hard to digest in the beginning and I was wondering why my car was experiencing the brunt of problems. Race one was a good finish, but the car was difficult to drive and I was nervous around the corners. That cost me a lot of time,” said Armaan later.
