Tri-cycle given to physically challenged

KRISHNAGIRI: Collector V.K. Shanmugam sanctioned free tri-cycle to a physically challenged youth from Sadhinayakkanapatti in Pochampalli taluk in Krishnagiri district on Monday.
A. Rangasamy (27) came to the collectorate to petition the collector during the grievances redress meeting.
Quick disposal
As soon as he received the petition, the collector sanctioned a free tri-cycle to the youth without waiting for formal procedures like certificate by a qualified government doctor.
As the tri-cycles were stocked at the collectorate itself, it helped the collector initiate a quick action immediately after receiving the petition.
Rangasamy has completed Standard VII and is jobless.
300 petitions
More than 300 petitions were received by the collector demanding new ration cards, old age pension, free house site patta and 2-acre land.
Some of the petitions pertained to road repair, street light and drinking water.
