Rain lashes Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri
KRISHNAGIRI: Widespread rain in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts for the last three days brought smiles on the face of sesame and sugar-cane farmers.
Rain with thunder showers for an hour in and around Palacode on Sunday night brought down the temparature.
Sugar cane farmers are happy that this rain will help them reap good harvest.
The rain lasted for about three hours in Pennagaram on Sunday night.The rainfall recorded in towns is as follows: Palacode 27 mm, Denkanikottai 50.4, Anchetti 13, Royakottai 5.4, Hosur 51, Shoolagiri 4, Krishnagiri 4.8, Nedungal 5.2, Marandaalli 38, Pennagaram 47 and Dharmapuri 29 mm.
