Colony Construction Committees to be constituted in each village Amount deposited into beneficiary’s account after report from CCC SANGAREDDY: In a move to plug in loopholes in the flagship programme of Indiramma housing, the Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation has decided to constitute Colony Construction Committees (CCC) with Indiramma beneficiaries as members in each village. OrdersDepending on the size of the beneficiaries, the number of CCC may be increased. Orders were issued to this effect on May 28. According to Housing District Manager Vijayalakshmi, three members from the CCC would be elected to supervise the on going housing construction. They will submit weekly report to the Assistant Engineer (AE) on every Monday. In the next one week, the AE would visit the village and take stock of the things and register them in measurement book. PaymentThe books would be sent to the Deputy Executive Engineer for payment. Three work inspectors would assisting the AE in the process who will be entrusted with the job of maintaining the cement godowns, taking photos of the houses at various stages and making a follow up on the payments from the department. Within one week after receiving the progress report on the construction of a house from the CCC, the amount would be deposited in the account of the beneficiary.
