MTC asks school heads to collect free bus pass applications

CHENNAI: Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has asked headmasters/principals of educational institutions eligible for free bus pass for students to collect the application forms at its head office from Wednesday.
According to a press release, the day of visit of MTC officials to the educational institutions for issue of free pass will be finalised during the issue of application form to the authorities of the institutions. The students of schools, arts and science colleges and polytechnics recognised by the government are eligible for free bus pass.
A meeting on issue of free bus pass to students was held at the MTC head office on Monday. Officials of the Education Department of Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts participated in the meeting.
