First woman Collector for Virudhunagar

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Sigy Thomas Vaidhyan is the new District Collector of Virudhunagar. She is the first woman Collector of the district.
The 2002-batch Indian Administrative Officer, took charge from the out-going Collector, K. Raghupathi on Thursday. Mr. Raghupathi has been transferred to Chennai as Deputy Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin.
Ms. Sigy, a post graduate in Economics has served as Assistant Collector (training) in Ramanathapuram, Sub Collector in Ponneri and Deputy Secretary in the Elections Department.
Ms. Sigy also served as Additional Collector (Development) in Sivaganga district.
