Jamabandhi to be held till June 16 in Virudhunagar

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The jamabandhi began in all the eight taluks in the district on Wednesday. Collector K. Raghupathi inspected the jamabandhi proceedings at Sivakasi.
Jamabandhi will be conducted till June 16, except for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Collector went through the Revenue accounts of Viswanatham, Sivakasi, Anaiyur, Maraneri, Naranapuram, Tiruthangal, Kezhatiruthangal and Anuppankulam.
He received several petitions seeking old age pension, inclusion of names in family cards, name transfer of pattas from the people.
With regard to the patta transfer petitions, he advised the tahsildars and officials from Land Survey Department to take immediate action and submit their reports. The Sivakasi Tahsildar, A. Ramasamy, was present.
