M. Bhatti Vikramarka HYDERABAD: The Congress has appointed three SC legislators as Chief Whip and Government Whips. Madhira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka (Madhira) is set to become the Chief Whip of the 13th Assembly. Two other Congress MLAs – Kondru Murali Mohan (Rajam) and Sake Shailajanath (Singanamala) will be the Government Whips. The three are known to be trusted lieutenants of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. By appointing the three legislators, representation to all the three regions has been achieved. While Mr. Bhatti hails from Telangana, Dr. Shailajanath is from Anantapur district in Rayalaseema and Mr. Murali Mohan from Srikakulam. Mr.Bhatti gets the key post for voicing the stand taken by Dr. Reddy on Telangana repeatedly to counter the campaign by party seniors on statehood. A post-graduate in History from University of Hyderabad, Mr. Bhatti (49), was an MLC before his maiden entry into Assembly in the recent elections. Dr. Shailajanath is a post-graduate in medicine and is into his second was a strong contender for the ministerial berth. Mr. Murali Mohan is engineering and management graduate and two time MLA. Mr. Bhatti said it was a rare privilege to have three SC legislators, as Chief Whip and Government Whips. He thanked Dr. Reddy for reposing faith in them and entrusted crucial task. He said all the three would discharge their duties with full commitment. His father Mallu Ananta Ramulu was Member of Parliament and his brother Mallu Ravi was Special Representative to the State government in New Delhi.
