Anand keeps lead after two drawn games

Miskolc (Hungary): World champion Viswanathan Anand maintained his overnight one-point lead over Hungary’s Peter Leko, after drawn encounters in the third and fourth games, on the second day of their eight-game rapid chess match on Thursday.

Unlike the opening day when Leko faltered in both games, the Hungarian was calm and collected.

He first ensured an easy draw with black and then pushed Anand to the wall and the later survived only thanks to some very precise defence. — PTI
