Inter must for transport constables

HYDERABAD: Intermediate has been prescribed as the minimum qualification required to be recruited as a constable of the Transport Department hereafter.

After assuming office at the Secretariat as Transport Minister, S. Vijayarama Raju signed the first file providing for this change. So far, SSC has been specified as the minimum educational qualification for the posts.

He said he had the Police Department to commence recruitment to fill 150 out of 162 vacancies of constable posts existing in Transport Department.
