Andhra Bank JV to set up Malaysian bank

HYDERABAD: Andhra Bank, in collaboration with Bank of Baroda and Indian Overseas Bank, has formed a joint venture to set up a Malaysian bank ‘India BIA Bank (Malaysia) BHD’. The chairmen of the three banks signed the agreement on June 4. This is the first joint venture of its kind where three strong public sector banks have come together to float an overseas banking arm. Andhra Bank will hold 25 per cent equity.- Special Correspondent
