“No T20 telecast without ESPN nod”

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Friday restrained 188-odd cable operators across the country from telecasting live the T20 World Cup matches being played in England without taking prior permission from ESPN sports channel that has the exclusive telecast rights for these matches. The Court passed the injunction order on a suit by ESPN Software India. Counsel for the plaintiff submitted that hundreds of cable operators were stealing signals of these matches.
