Four NDFB militants killed in encounters

GUWAHATI: Four militants of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) were killed in encounters with the security forces in northern Assam’s Sonitpur and Udalguri districts on Thursday night. The security forces recovered a huge cache of arms belonging to the United Liberation Front of Asom in Tinsukia district on Friday.
In the encounter at Khanamukh in Sointpur district, two militants were killed by troops of the Army’s Red Horns Division in Sonitpur district.
In the encounter at Jingebil in Udalguri district two more militants were killed and arms recovered.
