Chennai: Lokesh Kumar defeated Rashwant Ravi 6-4, 6-2 in the boys’ under-12 semifinals of the UCAL-TNTA-KTC junior tennis tournament at the KTC in Kottivakkam on Friday. J.P. Venkatachalam was the children’s under-10 champion, defeating R. Preeth Kumar 9-3 in the final. Other results: Semifinals: Boys: N. Shankar Narayanan bt Abrar Rameez Samad 1-6, 6-2, 6-4. Girls: S. Praveena bt Kaaviya Balasubramanian 6-2, 6-2; Sai Avantika bt S. Diana Abi 6-3, 6-1.
