MGP says it is not biased

MYSORE: Reacting to a clarification issued by the Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamy Ashram, the Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP), which raised the issue of the alleged “illegal” construction by the ashram on “disputed” land, has asserted that it is not taking sides on the issue, and it is fair and unbiased in its approach.

Maj. Gen. (retd.) S.G. Vombatkere, president of the MGP, said in a press release that the parishat had merely said that the dispute was before the Commissioner, Mysore City Corporation, and that S.R. Anil Kumar had produced documents supporting his claim. The MGP had urged the Commissioner to pass orders immediately on the complaint. — Staff Correspondent
