IIMA alumni to organise workshop

HYDERABAD: The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) Alumni Association, Hyderabad Chapter is conducting a one-day free workshop for students of MBA colleges in and around the city at Ravindra Bharathi on June 13 at 10 a.m.

Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, the association President and Additional Director General of Police, S.V. Ramana Murthy said senior professionals in the industry covering various industries such as Pharma, FMCG, consulting and banking/insurance were invited to address the students.

Specific profiles

The professionals in their presentations would explain the jobs available in their respective industries and the kind of candidates with specific profiles needed.

The city has around 90 MBA colleges that provide courses in management and close to 10,000 students graduate with MBA degrees every year.

The recessionary pressure has millions of jobs lost in various sectors and there is demoralisation and depression among the MBA pass outs with lesser and lesser jobs available.

Helping hand

The workshop in this backdrop will lend a help hand to the students/pass outs on how to find jobs in these tough times, he said.

Students of all the MBA colleges were invited and those interested can contact their College Training & Placement Officer or email ‘ cxoadvice@gmail.com’ or SMS ‘TMIF CXO (their mail-id)’ to 56677 for a pass to the workshop.

The association joint secretary T. Muralidharan and others were also present.
