Thiruvananthapuram: Registration has begun for the sixth edition of the pre-admission guidance programme organised by The Hindu-EducationPlus at three centres in Kerala for those seeking admission to courses in various professional streams.

The programme named ‘Looking Ahead: A Counselling Session’ will be held at the Tagore Centenary Theatre here on June 21.

The event is meant to tell students about the dos and don’ts, the strategies relating to the online seat allotment process conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, provide an overview of the key courses and, in general, set them thinking on the career and course options before them.

The participants will have an opportunity to put questions to a panel of experts presented by The Hindu at an interactive session.

Sessions are planned to lay stress on various other areas of topical interest to the students. A handbook with detailed information on courses will be provided free of cost to each participant.

Apart from helping the students gain clarity on the different courses on offer, it will also outline points that are to be considered while seeking admission to professional courses.

Sponsors

State Bank of Travancore is the presenting sponsor of the event and Overseas Education Consultants Edex International, Kochi, the associate sponsor.

Entry to the events will be on a first-come-first-served basis and students can register for the programme by paying a fee of Rs.50 each.
