“Rajiv Gandhi Soil Kalash” handed over

NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi handed over the “Shaheed Rajiv Gandhi Soil Kalash” to chief organiser Nehru Brigade and former Deputy Mayor of Delhi Ramesh Dutta over the weekend. On the occasion Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit and Delhi Ministers Haroon Yusuf and Mangat Ram Singhal paid homage to the holy soil brought from the “Shaheed Sthal” at Sriperembudur. Later as per the religious customs, the holy soil was immersed into the Yamuna river.
