VISAKHAPATNAM: Representatives of various voluntary organisations met District Collector Sanjay Kumar on Monday and submitted a memorandum to him seeking release of funds to the residential and non-residential schools being run under the National Child Labour Project (NCLP). They noted that though the problem of child labour has been alleviated to some extent due to their enrolment in bridge schools, run in association with voluntary organisations, the non-release of funds in the district for the last 18 months was coming in the way of running the schools. They said that there was a danger of the funds being diverted for other purposes on the plea that there were no children.
