BSNL offer on talk time

Guntur: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has introduced a new facility for all pre-paid cell phone customers to receive or gift talk time between Rs.10 and Rs.200 at a time five times a month through a simple transfer method with SMS. The donor pre-paid customer needs to register his/her mobile number for gifting by sending an SMS: `Register PTOP’ to 54455, which is a toll-free number. A 6-digit password code number will be sent to the phone being registered for donation.

For transferring the talk time, the donor needs to type `Gift <receiver mobile number> <amount> followed by <6 digit password> and send this as SMS to 54456. Those wishing to stop this service need to send an SMS to 54455 by typing `Deregister PTOP’. The BSNL has also reduced the sim replacement charges from Rs.110 to Rs.55.

The Government Home for the Handicapped in Guntur will reopen at Brundavan Gardens 4th Lane in Guntur on June 12. Those visually impaired or physically challenged, wishing to study in any class between 1 and 10 would be provided free education, according to a press release.
