KOCHI: New Generation Bank and Insurance Employees’ Union has decided to break off affiliation with the CITU and join the Trade Union Centre of India (TUCI) in protest against what the employees’ union leaders described here on Monday as failure of the CITU leadership to effectively support the protest actions launched by the union. The union represents about 4,000 employees of new generation banks and insurance companies like ICICI, City Bank, ING Vysya, HDFC, Aviva Insurance, Reliance, Max New York, Metlife, Bajaj Alliance, Bajaj Capital, etc, The decision was taken unanimously, said T. B. Mini, president of the union here on Monday
