CPI threatens to resume land stir

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: CPI State secretary K. Narayana has warned that his party might be pushed to resume land struggles as the State government was making no efforts to distribute lands to landless poor.

He told a press conference here on Monday that the indifference of the government to land distribution was reflected in the Governor’s address to the joint session of the legislature.

There was no reference to the recommendations of Koneru Ranga Rao Committee which went into the demand for land to the poor.
