Bellary Ministers absent at meeting

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: The three Ministers from Bellary district — Revenue Minister G. Karunakar Reddy, Tourism Minister G. Janardhan Reddy and Health Minister B. Sriramulu — were conspicuous by their absence at the meeting of deputy commissioners (DCs), chief executive officers (CEOs) of zilla panchayats, principal secretaries to the Government and regional commissioners here on Tuesday.

Normally, apart from the Chief Minister, who chairs and sets the agenda for the meeting, it is the Revenue Minister who plays an important role in such meetings as deputy commissioners and regional commissioners are under his charge.

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said it was possible that the Ministers concerned were preoccupied. The Revenue Minister had addressed a meeting of DCs and CEOs here on Monday and later left for his hometown.
