Man falls into well, dies

CHENNAI: Sathya Seelan, a 40-year-old man, who worked at a construction site on New Tank Street, Nungambakkam, slipped and fell into a well at the site at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The victim, belonging to Karur district, was believed to be under the influence of alcohol.
Gunasekaran, a co-worker, who was at a nearby tea shop, alerted the police on hearing a loud splash from the well.
The police with the help of Fire and Rescue service personnel retrieved the body and sent it to Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) for post-mortem.
The Nungambakkam police have registered a case.
