HYDERABAD: A century by Ranji wicket-keeper Abhinav Kumar for Andhra Bank and a fine spell by left-arm spinner V.V.V. Appa Rao (five for 95) for SCRSA were the highlights of the second day’s play in the A-Division (three-day) league cricket matches here on Wednesday. Abhinav’s ton (141, 10 x 4, 2 x 6) and his 204-run stand for the second wicket with Naveen Reddy (84) helped Andhra Bank score 269 for three in reply to Ensconse’s 283 in the first innings. In another match, left-armer Appa Rao claimed his second five-wicket haul and enabled SCRSA to restrict Marredpally Colts to 321. In reply, SCRSA was 156 for seven. AOC’s Surender Singh Patwal (five for 16) skittled out Evergreen for 132 and in reply, AOC was 41 for two at stumps.
