Three hit hundreds

HYDERABAD: Southpaw B. Sandeep’s unbeaten 102 (14x4) helped BDL record a two-wicket win over Deccan Chronicle in the A-division (three-day) league cricket championship here on Thursday.

R.A. Vishwanath of SCRSA and Penta Rao of AOC cracked centuries in their respective matches.

Ambati Rayudu, playing his first match after terminating his contract with the ICL, hit a stroke-filled 74 (12x4) for State Bank of Hyderabad against India Cements. Another former ICL player medium-pacer Alfred Absolom (five for 51) put up a good show for India Cements.

The scores: Deccan Chronicle 192 & 234 for seven decl. (Gautham Reddy 44, G. Srinivas four for 76) lost to BDL 217 & 213 for eight (B. Sandeep 102 n.o., M.S.K. Prasad 45); Ensconse 283 & 127 for eight (M. A. Rizwan 42) drew with Andhra Bank 414 (Aaron Paul 50, Kiran Kumar 57, Yaseen Bahamaid four for 58); MP Colts 321 drew with SCRSA 241 (Radha Krishna Manohar 52, R.A. Vishwanath 107).

Evergreen 132 & three for one vs. AOC 309 for seven decl. (Penta Rao 133 n.o., Sarabjit Singh 40, Ritesh Negi 51 n.o.); SBH 236 (T. Suman 41, Ahmed Quadri 50, A.T. Rayudu 74, Alfred Absolom five for 51) vs. India Cements 45 for two.
