Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Officials of Namma Metro heaved a sigh of relief when the Karnataka High Court on Thursday dismissed petitions by three residents of R.V. Road, Bangalore, challenging the acquisition of their land for the Metro project. The petitioners, Zakirunnisa, Rajashekar and Nissar Ahmed had challenged acquisition of land for the project.

Relocation

They also wanted the Metro station to be relocated from South End to Dasarahalli, Jayanagar.

Justice Mohan Shantangouder dismissed the petitions, saying that they were devoid of merit.
