Varsity cancels entrance test

KOCHI: Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit has cancelled the entrance test for its M.S.W programme conducted at various centres on May 31.

A Syndicate meet held on Thursday decided to hold a new test within 15 days. The university authorities will request the police to strengthen its investigation into the alleged irregularities in the conduct of the entrance test.

The Syndicate also adopted the recommendation to permanently debar two students, K. D. Baiju and Sinoj Varghese, for their alleged involvement in the irregularities reported during the test.
