Children taking part in an awareness rally organised to mark World Day Against Child Labour in Mysore on Friday. MYSORE: Their past experience made them participate in an awareness rally against child labour here on Friday. More than 200 children representing child labour rehabilitation centres in Mysore district took out the rally holding placards carrying messages such as “Beware! Do not employ children below 14 years of age”; “Allow children to bloom”; “Send children to schools”. Their mission was to ensure that children of their age do not end up becoming child labour and the people became aware of anti-child labour laws. The Mysore district administration and the National Child Labour Programme Society organised the rally which primarily campaigned against employing children in domestic places, hotels, garages, tea shops, roadside canteens and clubs. The participants raised slogans against those employing children in hazardous fields. The authorities here warned those who violate the anti-child labour laws.
