High Court allows ED to quiz Raju

Legal Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Justice G. Bhavani Prasad of the High Court on Friday upheld the order of the trial court which permitted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to question former Satyam Chairman B. Ramalinga Raju, his brother. B. Rama Raju and CFO V. Srinivas.

The court was dismissing the petitions filed by them challenging the order of the trial court allowing the Enforcement Directorate to question them.

The Judge said that such questioning did not amount to custody. It was made clear that the ED had the power to elicit information when there was an allegation of violation of law.
