Revanna files petition

BANGALORE: The former Minister and Chairman of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), H.D. Revanna filed a contempt of court petition against officials of the Cooperation Department for failing to hold elections to several cooperatives, including KMF.

Mr. Revanna said the State Government in April 2009 given an undertaking to the court to hold elections once Model Code of Conduct for elections are over. The State, he said, had cited the General Elections in April as the main cause for postponing the elections. However, the State had failed to conduct elections to cooperatives
