KOCHI: Industries Minister Elamaram Karim will inaugurate an investors’ meet at Gokulam Convention Centre here on June 16. The event, titled ‘Invest@Kochi’, is being organised jointly by the District Industries Centre, District Small Scale Industries Association and Kerala Federation of Cluster Consortium. Government organisations and financial institutions are also cooperating with the programme. Discussions between promotional agencies, financial institutions and various other departments will be held during the programme. The aim is to tap the increasing investment opportunities in Kochi, Sebastian Pothenpalli, general manager of the District Industries Centre, said here on Friday. He said that Kochi has several industrial opportunities, especially with major projects including the International Transhipment Terminal, LNG, and the metro rail coming up in the region. Mr. Pothenpalli said these projects will create several related industrial and service opportunities in Kochi. The investors’ meet will be a platform to identify these emerging options, he said.
