Polytechnic admission fee hiked
HYDERABAD: The State government on Friday enhanced the admission fee payable by students in private unaided polytechnics, private unaided D. Pharmacy institutions and government polytechnics, including those of D. Pharmacy, from this academic year (2009-10).
The decision was taken following submission of a report by a committee headed by the Secretary, Technical Education and Training, recommending a hike.
The committee had been asked in response to representations made by the Association of Private Unaided Polytechnics for such a fee hike. With the hike in all components of the fee, ranging from tuition fee to alumni fee, the total fee works out to Rs. 3,800 in case of government/aided polytechnics
