Two killed in landmine blast in Poonch

Jammu: Two persons were killed and as many injured on Saturday when a landmine exploded near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Mendhar area of Poonch district.

One of the victims stepped over the landmine in a field at Dadot Kanga. police sources said here.

Militant shot dead

In another incident, security forces shot dead a militant in an operation in Kupwara district on Saturday afternoon.

The operation was launched at Kamghari, 140 km from Srinagar. — PTI
