Rathan Kumar, Vrinda reign
BANGALORE: Rathan Kumar (39 points) and Vrinda Yadav (41 pts) emerged as overall winners in the men’s and women’s sections respectively in the KGA-Golden Chariot golf tournament played on Stableford format at the KGA course here on Saturday.
The tournament, which attracted 120 amateur golfers, was a promotional event conducted by the State Government and Railways for ‘Golden Chariot’, Karnataka’s only luxury train for tourists.
Sudhakar Rao, Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, presided and gave away the prizes.
The other winners are: Div. I (0-15 handicap): Col. Ravi Shanmugham (39 pts); Div. II (16-20): Pankaj Malik (39); Div. III (21-36): D.M. Purnesh (36). — Special Correspondent
