Headless body found

HYDERABAD: An unidentified man in his 30s was found decapitated deep inside the forest of Dhulapally on the city outskirts.

The decomposed body was found by residents of Suraram Colony on Saturday when they went to answer nature’s call.

The condition of the body suggested that the victim was murdered at least two days ago. The site and the surrounding forestland belongs to the A.P. Forest Academy. Residents of Suraram Colony and Pandu basthi, which are close-by, too have access to the forestland.

The police searched the forest and adjoining lands extensively, but could not trace the head. Sniffer dogs could not provide any leads.

The police suspect the killers to have taken away the head so that the victim cannot be identified and they will not be tracked down.
