Regularisation of part-time PR staff sought

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Services Association on Sunday sought regularisation of part-time employees working in gram panchayats for over 10-15 years, on a par with panchayat secretaries.

T.M.B. Butchiraju, co-chairman, in a statement sought sanction of three panchayat inspector posts, (equivalent to former panchayat extension officer) under each divisional panchayat officer for inspecting the gram panchayats and reviewing statutory functions, like utilisation of funds.

He sought upgradation of the post of superintendent in the panchayat raj commissionerate as administrative officers, sanction of superintendent’s posts in each divisional panchayat office and promotions of grade I panchayat secretaries as grade I executive officers.
